  • FIRST FRIDAY ART WALK

    April 3 · 5 PM – 8 PM

    Join us for an evening of art, community, and conversation inside the shop. Featuring the work of artist Valerie Smith, the evening offers a thoughtful nod to Western heritage and enduring style in celebration of the High Desert Stampede.

    Guests will enjoy wine and light bites as they wander the space, explore curated pieces, and experience the store in a way that only First Friday can offer.

    Whether stopping in after dinner or making it part of the evening’s plans, the door is open.

  • HIGH DESERT STAMPEDE QUEENS LUNCHEON

    April 4 · 12 PM – 2 PM

    Cares & Whoas is honored to host the High Desert Stampede Queens Luncheon, celebrating the remarkable women who serve as ambassadors of rodeo and Western heritage.

    Queens from across our rodeo community will gather to connect, celebrate tradition, and represent the spirit of the West. Following the luncheon, guests will have the opportunity to meet the queens during a special meet-and-greet and autograph signing in the store.

    We are proud to welcome these leaders and role models whose dedication helps carry the legacy of rodeo forward.

  • HIGH TEA FOR HORSES

    Benefiting 3 Sisters Equine Refuge

    May 9 · 11 AM – 3 PM

    Cares & Whoas is honored to once again participate in this annual community event benefiting the rescued horses of 3 Sisters Equine Refuge.

    Guests will enjoy a charming high tea featuring tea sandwiches, fresh scones, and sweet treats paired with locally sourced teas, along with a spring fashion show and a maker’s market filled with unique handcrafted goods. The event will also feature the return of the popular Petals for Ponies flower baskets, available for purchase.

    This joyful afternoon brings the community together to celebrate spring while supporting a meaningful cause. Everyone is welcome—whether you dress up, dress down, or land somewhere in between.
